If you cannot get to church on Sunday, 25th October, don't worry as we have a Streamed Communion Service ready and waiting for you on the Church YouTube channel.

Make sure you look out your bread and wine (or juice), so you can join in the Lord's Supper.

During the streamed worship there is an "in memoriam" section where we can reflect, and give thanks for, the lives of Howard Davies and Audrey Coleman, who both died recently, aged 98 and 95 respectively.

AUDREY COLEMAN

More bad news, I'm afraid. Audrey Coleman passed away during the night at Troutbeck. She was 95. Audrey had battled Coronavirus and tested negative, but I'm afraid it came back.

Audrey was a stalwart of the church, and she will be missed by everyone. Oyur thoughts and prayers are with Audrey's family and friends.

HOWARD DAVIES

After our morning service today we received the sad news that one of our members, Howard Davies, had died in Airedale Hospital. Howard had had a mild heart attack, and appeared on the road to recovery, but sadly it was not to be.

We prayed for Howard during our morning service today, and we ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

CHURCH OPEN FOR WORSHIP AGAIN

Our church is open again for socially distanced worship, with one Sunday Service at 10.45am.  This week we start a series on the Book of Ruth.

Following on from Harvest, we still have our Foodbank Table in church, so you can bring in your food for the Foodbank at this service.

If you are unable to attend church we have our streamed worship service on the church YouTube channel, which you can view at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7E8CFGd7AU&t=6s

OUR HARVEST SERVICE IS NOW ONLINE

We are disappointed that we cannot meet in person for our Harvest Service, but we can all still join in with the Streamed service.  You can find it on the church YouTube channel or at https://youtu.be/W4Uxocuv6aQ

We shall have the Foodbank Table at our service on 4th October, so you can bring in your food for the Foodbank at that service.  Likewise, we will be able to collect any donations for the BMS Harvest Appeal on that day, or you will find a slide on the Streamed Service explaining how you can donate online, or by telephone.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEW MARRIED COUPLE!

It's been a while since our last wedding, but we celebrated on Saturday, 26th September, 2020, when we had the pleasure of marrying Martyn Stocker and Rebecca Swann.

Like so many engaged couples, their wedding plans had been thrown into turmoil by Covid, and the constantly changing wedding guidance from the government.  Fortunately, they were able to reschedule their big day, just two days before wedding guest numbers would have been halved in two!

We had a socially distanced wedding, with no singing (sob-sob), and only the Minister and the Bride and Groom able to dispense with the facemasks for the ceremony.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Stocker!

WE'RE CLOSED AGAIN - BUT JUST FOR ONE WEEK!

One of our congregation let us know midweek that her son was displaying coronavirus symptoms. As he had not been able to get a test at that time, we made a decision to err on the side of safety and to close the church for this week's Sunday Service.

The good news is that the test has now come back negative, and we give thanks for that.  It is too late now to reinstate the live service, so we have our Streamed Harvest Service on Sunday, 27th September.

We shall continue to put the safety of our congregation first, and the church will reopen again for worship at 10-45am on Sunday, 4th October, 2020
